Nominations for 2011 Scholarships are now open and will close on Friday 30th September 2011.
If you are a high performing and passionate Australian soldier and have a desire to learn more about your military heritage, then you are eligible to be considered for a Chief of Army 'I'm an Australian Soldier' Scholarship.
The Chief of Army's 'I'm an Australian Soldier' Scholarship is an initiative that aims to develop selected soldiers through a study tour of and participate in commemorative activities to significant Australian battlefield sites. Each year, scholarship recipients are selected to travel to overseas to undertake a fully funded intensive study tour under the guidance of an Army historian.
Responsibility for the Scholarship program rests with Directorate of Coordination - Army.
The Nomination Process
Army personnel of the ranks PTE-CPL are eligible to nominate for the scholarship by filling in a nomination form. Nominate yourself through your chain of command using the Nomination form, the form is available in two formats pdf (PDF)

Once your nomination is received, your commanding officer will be asked to fill in a supplementary report that will also be considered by the selection panel. This report is available here in pdf (PDF)

Unit commanding officers may nominate those soldiers deemed worthy for the scholarship.
